    All transportation registers compiled before 1836 were destroyed in the Four Courts fire of June 1922. Therefore, if the person you are researching was convicted before 1836, but was not the subject of a petition, he or she will not appear on this database. Free.

    Freeholders' records are lists of people entitled to vote because they owned land. From 1727 to 1793 only Protestants could vote. Between 1793 and 1829 both Protestants and Catholics with 40 shilling freeholds could vote, increased to 10 pounds in 1829. Free.
