Penrose BARTO Biography
Penrose Barto, came from Lebanon Co., was a blacksmith and carried on the trade down where the Brommers are now.
He went into the manufacturing of carriages on Tulpehocken street, opposite the Pine Grove Bank. He carried on an extensive business at one time.
He had one son and three daughters.
He served in the Civil War and afterwards removed to Tremont.
