Samuel Evans Biography
EVANS, SAMUEL, came from Chester Co. in the 80's, as supervisor of the S. & S. and L. & T. railroad of the P. & R.
He had four sons and five daughters. Horace is a machinist and lives in Lebanon; Caleb is a clerk and lives in Brooklyn; Charles is a graduate of Dickinson College, Carlisle, and professor in the Hill school at Pottstown; Frank is clerking for the Gensemer's at the upper tannery; Florence is married to John Schaffner; Eliza is married to William Davis; Emily is married to Dr. Hess; Bessie is married to Howard Smith; Annie is single.
